Executive Board Meeting
OAKLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Auburn Hills, MI
February 10, 2004

Roll Call: showed 5
Present: Austin, Greis, Sytsema, Underwood and Lawfield
Absent: (excused); Cousins, Blomstrom, Schwarz, Mata and Wilson.
Guests: Two
Minutes from Last Meeting: Minutes of the December meeting were approved as written.
Communications: None
Treasurer Report: Report shows association balance at $13,046.30. Association books have been audited per bylaws.

Standing Committees: No report
Constitution and By-Laws: No report
Public Relations: No report
Membership: No report
Education/Research: No report
Instructor of the Year: No report
Conference/Program: No report

Special Committees:
Joint Council: No report

FFTC: Greis reported that they are still in Business and are in the process of reviewing operations. Next years budget has no money allocated for FFTC. Tony Sanfilippo is the interim Director and the offices are still located on Harris Dr. Fire Service Expo: Lawfield reported that things are going along and that we need to provide to workshop presenters, which are being confirmed at the present time. Dates are June 24 - 26, 2004 in Grand Rapids. (Our June Board meeting will be held on June 24 at 9 am)

Application for Membership: Was discussed with M. Greis having several new member applications which were accepted.

Old Business:
-Computer Purchases were discussed with new information discovered regarding existing one (or lack of) and was tabled until more information is gathered.
-Discussion continued regarding Trustee Bryce Tracy who has missed numerous meeting unexcused. Austin reported that he has talked with Bryce and e-mailed him regarding what his intentions are regarding the board membership, with no response. Austin was directed to send Bryce a letter requesting a letter of resignation from the trustee position, per the association bylaws, or he would be dismissed

New Business:
None

Good of the Order: -A reminder to all membership that minutes can now be received via e-mail, but each individual must sign up to receive them. This can be done from our website at www.mfsia.com and go to the link on the home page.
-Thanks to Matt Sabol and his staff at the Oakland Community College Public Safety Training Center for hosting this meeting and the tour of the facilities…GREAT Center
